Sony to stop selling floppy disks

Floppy DisksThe Floppy Disk has had it. Sony is to stop selling them from March, 2011 due to dwindling demand. Sony developed the 3.5 inch disk in 1981, replacing the larger 5.25 inch one that had been in use. But like everything technological, its time was marked.

Reading magazines in the future

This is pretty cool. Someday we'll all be reading magazines on e-reader type devices, able to read text, pictures, play videos and music, handle animation, zoom in, out, add to our social networks - almost like a tablet. Just don't spill the breakfast all over it!

 

Windows open to advertising

Windows 7 advertisingIt seems Google won't be the first to have an operating system (OS) with advertising running on it. Microsoft has got in ahead of Google, opening up Windows 7 to desktop advertising in a trial that will go on until October 2010.
